Christians sometimes forget that we are always being watched. We are
not talking about some criminal spying, or government surveillance, but
as surely as you are reading these words our heavenly Father is
watching. Sometimes Christians conduct themselves like their actions
were known only to them. The Scriptures clearly teach that no man is
ever "alone."
David wrote, "The Lord looketh from heaven, He beholdeth all the sons of
men. From the place of His habitation he looketh upon all the
inhabitants of the earth" (Psalm 33:13,14). The wise man wrote, "The
eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good"
(Proverbs 15:3). God also knows every word that we say (Psalm 139:7),
as well as our location every minute of our lives.
We should ever take to heart that wherever we are, or whatever we are
saying, or whatever we are doing is known to God. Neither darkness, nor
walls can hide us from Jehovah's view and hearing. This should be a
great motive for us to order our every thought, and word, and act to be
more like Christ every hour of every day.
