IF YOU CANNOT TOLERATE DETAILS ABOUT ABORTION PLEASE DO NOT READ THE
FOLLOWING PARAGRAPH
The Intercessor For America Newsletter, 1/2000 reports, It has been
revealed that the reason partial-birth abortions are favored over the
previously used method is that private companies involved in selling
the organs and body parts of aborted babies wanted whole parts.
Price lists show brains selling for $999, spinal cords for $325, arms
and legs at $150 and skin for $100. Some universities and federally
funded embryology labs operate round-the-clock collection services at
abortuaries. The House, by voice vote, passed Resolution H. Res. 350
which mandates hearings and action if necessary, concerning this
grizzly business. It was in 1993 that President Clinton signed the
NIH Revitalization Act which lifted the ban on federally funded
research involving the transplantation of fetal tissue (via The
Witness).
We do not print the above information simply for vain sensationalism,
but to allow those who are becoming more tolerant of "pregnancy
termination" to begin to realize why such a "choice" is becoming more
and more available in this society. Abortion is a very profitable
business. We see abortion as a despicable sin of this modern world, but
it has become (believe it or not) the advice given to girls in the
church who find themselves pregnant and unmarried. Some give young
girls the advice that "this 'choice' is better than having to live with
the embarrassment and humiliation of giving birth to an unwanted
child... Just think what this will do to the rest of your family, and
to the church... Then you have to decide how to dispose of it after it
gets here... If you decide to have this baby and raise it yourself,
you'll have to live with this stigma forever... And then if you give
the child away for adoption you'll always wonder if it has a good life,
or is it being abused... No, it's just better to end this mess
quietly... That way you can go on with your life... There's no use
your having to continue to deal with this mistake, and let it mess up
your life... Just get this over with."
At one time some Christian women were discussing the subject of adoption
of a baby born to an unmarried girl. One sister spoke up and said, that
in order to spare the girl's parents and family the shame and
humiliation, she would advise the girl to have an abortion. Shame,
shame, shame!!! Sister, do you mean that all of the teaching of the New
Testament should be thrown aside for the purpose of sparing someone
embarrassment? We all know that God allows the satisfaction of the
sexual desires of humans only in the marriage of a man and a woman
(Hebrews 13:4). All other means of satisfaction are sinful. Doesn't
the New Testament teach that Christians, young and old, are to keep
themselves pure (1 Timothy 5:22)? Aren't Christians, whether they are
young or old, taught that adultery, fornication, uncleanness,
lasciviousness, etc., are works of the flesh and they will cause persons
who do them to lose their own souls (Mark 7:22; 2 Corinthians 12:21;
Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 4:19; 1 Peter 4:3)?
We've all heard the expression, "two wrongs don't make a right."
Listen, fornication plus abortion doesn't equal liberation. When that
takes place you are not rid of guilt--one sin plus one sin equals two
sins, and mounting guilt! Paul wrote, "But after thy hardness and
impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of
wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God" (Romans 2:5).
Anyway, since when did the murder of an unborn child become an "option"
for a Christian to correct an embarrassment or a possible inconvenience?
We wonder if a Christian girl's mind would be changed if she knew that
her baby's body-parts were going to be sold? Sorry, but that is the
crass, ungodly practice going on today!
Of course, going out and killing the workers at an abortion clinic is a
sin which Christians cannot commit either. It's not even our purpose to
rally protesters all over the world to picket local "abortuaries". We
are simply trying to get faithful Christians to see abortion for what it
is, and to encourage them to teach all others what a awful sin it is in
the sight of God.
Christian parents need to train their children to be pure and chaste.
They need to teach young men and women to resolve to keep themselves
undefiled before marriage. And if, sadly, a sin is committed, Christian
parents need to help their daughters and sons to gain God's forgiveness
and never, never commit other sins to cover up that one. Christians
have to combat an ungodly society which teaches our young people "the
proper use of contraceptives," and not only teaches about their use but
even provides such devices without their parents' knowledge. They say,
"We know they'll do it anyway. You know you can't stop them. We are
simply helping them prevent an unwanted pregnancy." Please tell us,
where is the God-given solution--abstinence??? Parents in the church
need to teach their children that there is no way in the sight of God to
sin successfully!
When youngsters see their parents with a bent on getting anything and
everything they want, how can they expect their kids to "just say,
'No'"? Parents, you need to be an example, being temperate in all things
(1 Corinthians 9:25-27). The Deceiver is telling young people, "You're
only young once, and a little booze and drugs, and 'safe sex' will
assure you of a fun, exciting and successful transition through your
teen years." But this wicked lie doesn't reveal the countless ruined
lives full of helpless addiction, joblessness, hopeless, misery, guilt,
disease-racked bodies, and even early-deaths which are, many times, the
results of starting life this "fun and exciting" way. Each one of these
things puts a soul at risk of never finding true happiness in this life
and, of course, never being saved and gaining an eternal home in Heaven.
Remember, sin will "fool you" -- it is deceptive. The Scriptures say,
"But exhort one another daily, while it is called Today; lest any of you
be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin" (Hebrews 3:13). Please
continue to be strong, keep the faith, and pray for our young
Christians.
